Yoga

What is Yoga?

Yoga is an ancient science which was first developed over 5,000 years ago in the motherland of India, and practiced by the highly conscious and aware yogic beings.

Consisting of a sequence of asanas, which are postures designed to align the body in such a way that the energy channels can be opened and flow freely, yoga allows optimal health to begin to express within the body.

The goal in this dynamic asana practice is to reach a state of bliss within your own body, using nothing but your own breath, awareness, and muscle movements.

Since the mind is essentially what creates the body, each yoga session begins with a deeply personal intention for the practice. That intention and experience made while the body is active gets deeply recorded into the muscle memory, allowing the body to then begin radiating that very intention.

I first started studying yoga as a young child, and was immediately immersed into the mental bliss and physical healing abilities of the practice. The tranquil feeling at the end of each session became a constant longing within me that i yearned to experience again and again.
In 2012, i decided to attend third coast yoga studio's teacher training program lead by kundalini yoga instructor gurubanda kaur. this schooling became a catalyst in my yogic journey for not only experiencing my highest yogic potential, but also for transmitting this knowledge i had gathered to others who shared my love for yoga.
After receiving my 200 Ryt in 2013 and teaching several different hatha and kundalini yoga classes throughout the years, I decided to deepen my knowledge even more and travel to india to truly experience the roots of where yoga first developed. I was able to grasp the intricacies of this ancient science by studying under the enlightened yogic master paramahamasa nithyananda, who teaches directly from the first books ever documented on this sacred yogic practice.
My desire as a yoga instructor is to help others learn to use their bodies, mind, and breath as essential healing tools within their own personal yogic journey to tranquility and bliss.
